The Institute of Taxation of Pakistan

News & Updates

The importance of the Tax Profession in our society is bound to grow in the wake of globalization. It is deeply felt that Pakistan is lacking in the development of tax professionals that is undertaken proactively internationally, especially in progressive countries. Tax professionals are supposed to be at the forefront in dealing with the fiscal challenges that is becoming a stressful dare in our country. Pakistan is a country of plenty of resources where dated practices and procedures are adopted to address challenging fiscal issues, which is why the professionals associated with Green Educational Trust (Trust) have initiated to establish the Institute of Taxation of Pakistan.

The Institute is financed by its promoters and trustees as well as the subscription and fees from its members and students and will not be dependent on any government funding.  All the incomes, earnings, movable or immovable properties of the Institute shall be solely utilized and applied towards the promotion of its aims and objects and no portion thereof shall be paid or transferred directly by way of dividends, bonus, profits or in any manner whatsoever, to the present or past members of the Institute.

The Institute is a not-for-profit entity and itself does not directly provide tax advice. Its members do provide such advice and other tax-related services as tax professionals.
